Dr. Portal is board certified in Internal Medicine and completed his residency in Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He has Physician Privileges at St. Joseph`s Hospital-South. 

     Dr. Portal practiced medicine as a General Surgeon for 10 years in Cuba before escaping to the U.S. for a better life. Following several years of working for various hospital groups in the Tampa Bay Area, Dr. Portal opened his own medical practice in 2014 in Riverview. He now provides personalized and comprehensive care for adults in the Riverview and Tampa Bay Community. As a full-service Primary Care Physician in Internal Medicine, he assists patients from wellness checks to complex disease management.
